Flight to Arrakis delayed - Dune: Awakening release postponed
Participants of closed testing of the ambitious survival simulator Dune: Awakening reported that the game is in a terrible technical condition and if it is not fixed by the release - it will be a disaster.
That's why the new message from Funcom doesn't look surprising.
Here's What We Know
The developers thanked the testers for their work and the community for the interest to their game, but they have to tell some not so pleasant news: Dune: Awakening release has been postponed from 20th May to 10th June. The extra time will be spent on improving the technical state of the game.
At the same time, the previews from journalists will appear as planned on the 25th of April, in May Dune: Awakening will undergo a large-scale beta testing and all the time before the game's release the developers will share new materials about the survival simulator.
All in all, considering how massive a task Funcom has in mind, porting Dune: Awakening is a necessary and proper step.
All interested gamers can pre-order Dune: Awakening - Deluxe and Ultimate purchasers will be able to start getting acquainted with the game on the 5th of June.
At first the game will be released only on PC (Steam), console versions will be released later.
Everyone can already read the system requirements of Dune: Awakening.
