Almost a year ago, The Division 2 players would have been able to explore the streets of Brooklyn in the second storyline expansion Battle for Brooklyn. However, after the only large-scale DLC, Warlords of New York, which was released back in 2020, players had to wait five years. And now, finally, Ubisoft has announced the official presentation of Battle for Brooklyn, which will take place on 23 April.

Here's What We Know

Originally scheduled for release in 2024 as part of the fifth year of support for the game, Massive Entertainment decided to postpone the release to focus on improving the overall quality of the game.

A recent teaser on Twitter shows a tiny fragment of the new location, which, as the title promises, will be set in Brooklyn. Longtime fans of the series will remember that Brooklyn first appeared in The Division trailer from E3 2013, but in the final version of the game, it was replaced by Manhattan. However, a small part of Brooklyn was still present in the first game in the form of an introductory mission and training before the agent got to Manhattan.

Since the release of Warlords of New York, The Division 2 story has been developing through a seasonal model, but players have had to explore the same maps and complete the same missions for five years, albeit in slightly changed formats. And the announcement of Battle for Brooklyn aroused interest and hope for a fresh gaming experience.
