Turkish PlayStation gamers will feel a serious blow to their wallets as Sony has announced a significant price increase for PlayStation Plus subscriptions. The cost of the most expensive Deluxe plan will increase by a staggering 55% and from 24 June 2025 will be ₺4266 instead of the previous ₺2740.

Here's What We Know

According to emails sent to players, the price increase will affect all PlayStation Plus tiers. In addition to Deluxe, the Extra tariff will increase from ₺2340 to ₺3645. Although the official price for the Essential tier has not yet been announced, it is expected that the annual subscription will jump from ₺1400 to around ₺2180 with a similar percentage increase.

This is the second significant price increase in Turkey following the 2023 adjustments, when the subscription price increased by up to 600% due to the lira devaluation and inflation.

Sony said that these changes are aimed at maintaining the quality of service and providing "high-quality games and features".

Some users report renewing their subscriptions at current prices to avoid future price increases. There was even a case in 2023 when one player subscribed to the service for 27 years to secure a lower price.

As a reminder, Sony is raising prices for PlayStation Plus in Canada.
