CI Games and Hexworks have released a major 2.0 update for hardcore action-RPG Lords of the Fallen, which puts a stop to content support for the game.

Here's What We Know

As promised by the developers, a seamless co-op mode has been added to the game, with the second player not necessarily having to buy Lords of the Fallen - someone who has the game can give a friend a free pass, after which the newcomer passes the tutorial level and begins co-operative playthrough. Progress will be saved between sessions, the equipment and characteristics obtained will remain with the created characters, but the state of the game world is saved with the creator of the session.

In addition, the game features new ways to find the right path, a special button for jumping, improved user interface, enhanced features in the character editor and increased hero mobility.

The head of CI Games Marek Tymiński commented on the release of the update and the finalisation of the game:

To be honest, the game has gone far beyond what we originally envisioned when we launched it in 2023. Now is the perfect time for new players to join our franchise, and for current fans to explore Lords in an exciting new light.

Update 2.0 is already available on PS5 and Xbox Series, while its release on PC is slightly delayed for technical reasons.

Please note that Lords of the Fallen is up to 72% off at various retailers until 1 May.
