Nintendo Switch 2 pre-order opens in the US on 24 April: console accessories will go up in price

Nintendo has named the launch date for pre-orders of the new Switch 2 console in the US, which was supposed to start on 9 April but has been postponed due to the trade war unleashed by Donald Trump.

In US retailers, the Switch 2 pre-order opportunity will open on 24 April, with the device's price remaining the same - $450 for the console and $500 for the Nintendo Switch 2 and Mario Kart World bundle.

But prices for accessories and add-ons will go up:

• Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller - $85;
• Joy-Con 2, $95 for the pair;
• gamepad holder, $40;
• Joy-Con 2 strap - $14;
• Joy-Con 2 handlebars - $25;
• Nintendo Switch 2 camera - $55;
• Nintendo Switch 2 charging dock - $120;
• Nintendo Switch 2 protective glass case - $40;
• Nintendo Switch 2 storage bag - $85;
• Nintendo Switch 2 AC adapter - $35.

The new hybrid console will go on sale worldwide on 5 June.
