Nike has partnered with Hyperice to introduce Hyperboot, a shoe that helps speed up post-workout recovery. This new shoe uses Hyperice's Normatec and Hyperheat technologies, which improve blood circulation and oxygenation of tissues, helping to repair muscles faster.

Here's What We Know

Hyperice, a company specialising in the development of recovery products for athletes, created the Normatec technology. It uses pulsating compression to improve blood circulation, reduce muscle soreness and help you recover faster after training. Hyperheat technology helps feet and ankles warm up and recover faster.

Hyperboot combines these technologies by incorporating special heated air bags into the shoe. This helps athletes warm up, train and recover from physical activity faster. The shoe has three levels of heat and compression that can be adjusted using the buttons on the heel or via the Hyperice mobile app.

Heat settings:

  • Level 1: 44°C
  • Level 2: 48°C
  • Level 3: 52°C

Compression settings:

Level 1: 50 mmHg
Level 2: 130 mmHg
Level 3: 210 mmHg

The built-in rechargeable battery allows the shoe to run for 1-1.5 hours at maximum heating and compression settings.

The Hyperboot by Nike and Hyperice is priced at $899 and will be available on 17 May in North America on the companies' official websites and at select retailers. Athletes seeking faster recovery and improved performance are also offered other Hyperice products available on Amazon.
