Independent studio Legion, which consists of game designers who worked on such franchises as Call of Duty, DOOM, Destiny and Battlefield, presented the second trailer of the dark shooter Covenant.

Here's What We Know

Covenant combines not only shooter elements, but also such genres as action, souls-like and metroidvania.

The game is made in a gloomy gothic setting and the scale of locations catches the eye. Players will find themselves in huge halls, spacious squares, among giant sculptures and will fight colossal monsters.

Players will take on the role of the Messenger, a brutal warrior angel armed with unusual firearms and fulfilling the will of the Creators.

In terms of gameplay and style, the game is reminiscent of such shooters as Witchfire and Painkiller: players will face creepy monsters, visit fantasmagorical fantasy locations and fight with powerful bosses. It is noteworthy that in addition to powerful firearms protagonist masterfully wields a sword, hammer, mace and other melee weapons, which is atypical for such shooters.

Covenant developers promise not only a rich story campaign, but also some kind of online mode.

Covenant release date is unknown. So far the game is announced only on PC (Steam).
