According to an insider at Digital Chat Station, Oppo is preparing to launch the Reno15 series, which is likely to bring more compact flat-screen smartphones to the market. These models will retain flagship features despite the mid-range price point. Oppo may ditch the curved screens in favour of flat displays, as in their premium models, including the Find X8 Ultra.

Here's What We Know

This suggests that curved screens may be a thing of the past, even in mid-range devices.

The Reno series has already begun to resemble more premium smartphones with its rectangular aluminium metal bezels and corner cameras, which is similar to the iPhone design. With the launch of the Reno15, Oppo is likely to offer new displays in 6.59 and 6.3-inch sizes.

In addition to these design changes, the Reno15 series is expected to feature improved high-capacity batteries, making these smartphones some of the most powerful mid-range smartphones on the market. Even Oppo's A series, which is the next level up from Reno, is likely to offer a compact model with a screen of around 6.5 inches. This indicates a general trend towards smaller and more portable devices.

The Reno13 is currently available starting at INR 34,818 (~$407) on Amazon in India, and attention is now on the next generation to see if Oppo can combine premium features with an affordable price.
