Rumour: Ubisoft may release Assassin's Creed Shadows on Switch 2 after Star Wars Outlaws
Assassin's Creed Shadows, which was triumphantly released a month ago on PC and current-gen consoles, seems to be targeting an even wider audience. The recent discovery of the game in the PEGI (Pan European Game Information) list hints at its upcoming release on the new Nintendo console.
Here's What We Know
On the PEGI homepage, the cover of Assassin's Creed Shadows features four platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and, most interestingly, Nintendo Switch 2. At the time of writing, Ubisoft has not officially announced plans to release Assassin's Creed Shadows on the upcoming Nintendo console.
Of course, this could be a simple mistake on the part of PEGI, as there is no mention of the Switch 2 on their own website. However, considering that Ubisoft has already confirmed a port of Star Wars Outlaws to the console, the idea of Shadows coming to the new Nintendo Switch 2 doesn't seem so fantastic.
Meanwhile, the Switch 2 port of Star Wars Outlaws recently received an official release date at Star Wars Celebration Japan - 4 September. The rest of the players will be able to enjoy the second storyline expansion for this game on 14 May.
Assassin's Creed Shadows is also not left without the publisher's support: the developers are actively releasing new patches and preparing at least one major storyline DLC called Claws of Awaji, which is expected to be released later in 2025.
