Samsung has probably postponed the launch of its long-awaited affordable foldable smartphone Galaxy Flip FE. The South Korean media confirmed that the company is currently focused on the release of the flagship Galaxy Fold 7 and Flip 7 models, the mass production of displays for which has already begun.

Here's What We Know

As a result, the Galaxy Flip FE and Samsung's first smartphone that folds three times are now scheduled to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2025.

The Galaxy Flip FE was expected to debut alongside the main foldable models in July. The "FE" designation reflects the company's approach to Galaxy S models, where more affordable flagship variants were released.

The reasons for the delay are not yet known, but it is likely that the change in priorities is related to the focus on improving the Galaxy Fold 7 and Flip 7. The Galaxy Flip FE is expected to feature similar display technology to the Galaxy Flip 6 with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 2600 nits. It will also retain the same folding mechanism and is likely to feature a flat aluminium armour body for increased durability.

In terms of performance, the Galaxy Flip FE will feature a slightly downgraded version of the Exynos 2500 chipset, as well as a 50MP primary camera. There is no information about the secondary sensor yet.

Recently it became known that Samsung is developing a smartphone with a flexible screen that stretches upwards. The patent, found by DomoAI and insider @xleaks7, shows that the phone will be compact, but with the ability to enlarge the screen when needed.
