Fans of the gloomy and atmospheric souls-like Bloodborne have once again received a portion of not very optimistic news. Famous gaming journalist and insider Jeff Grubb recently spoke about the rumours of a possible remaster of the game for PC or PlayStation 5, and his words are unlikely to please those who are looking forward to returning to Yarnam on modern platforms.

Here's What We Know

In his Twitter post, answering a fan's question about the state of affairs with the Bloodborne remaster, Grubb was quite categorical. He stated that, according to his information, Sony is currently "doing nothing" with Bloodborne. This means that we shouldn't expect an announcement or release of an updated version of the game in the near future.

It is worth noting that rumours about a possible remaster of Bloodborne have been circulating online for quite some time, fuelling the hopes of fans who would like to plunge into the nightmarish world of the game with improved graphics on new platforms.

The original Bloodborne was released exclusively for PlayStation 4 in 2015 and gained immense popularity due to its unique atmosphere, challenging combat system and breathtaking world design. The absence of an official remaster remains a painful issue for many players, especially for those who do not have access to a PlayStation 4 or would like to see the game on PC or PS5 with improved performance.

Given Jeff Grubb's words, Bloodborne fans can only hope for an unexpected turn of events in the future or continue to enjoy the original version of the game on PlayStation 4. Unfortunately, hopes for a quick remaster for PC or PlayStation 5 will have to be postponed indefinitely.
