"Plan, err, improvise": the authors of The Alters explained the basic gameplay loop of their unusual game

In the third issue of their column Polish developers told how the gameplay cycle of The Alters will be built.
The main task of the players will be the collection of resources and their competent distribution on various tasks. The situation is complicated by the fact that it is necessary to constantly take into account the time of day, because at night the radiation level increases, which makes it impossible to stay in the open air, and during the day the heroes are limited by the energy reserve, which they can spend between periods of rest. In addition, players must be prepared to move their mobile base to avoid getting burned by the sizzling sun, and that constantly requires energy.
And, of course, you have to take into account the personal relationships between the alters, who, although they are copies of the same person, have different opinions, needs and desires, and their views on life and ways of solving problems often do not coincide, which leads to regular conflicts.
When We Can Expect It
The Alters is scheduled for release on 13 June on MS, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series (and Game Pass).
