Analyst agency Counterpoint has published information about the sales of personal computers in the first quarter of 2025 in the global market and now we know which of the giants showed the best result.

Here's What We Know

According to preliminary data from Counterpoint Research, global PC shipments grew 6.7 per cent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2025 to 61.4 million units. The growth was mainly driven by an acceleration in PC shipments ahead of the imposition of US duties and increased sales of PCs with AI amid the end of support for Windows 10.

The statistics showed that Apple posted a 17 per cent year-on-year growth in shipments in the first quarter of this year. This was largely due to the release of the updated MacBook Air with a powerful M4 chip, which provided a significant increase in performance and at the same time, importantly, the laptop did not rise in price.

Among other market leaders Lenovo showed a good result with an 11% year-on-year increase in shipments. Other companies showed an increase of 6-9%.
