Samsung is likely planning to speed up the launch of its next foldable smartphones, Galaxy Flip 7 and Galaxy Fold 7, compared to previous generations. According to insiders, the company plans to hold a Galaxy Unpacked event in early July 2025.

Here's What We Know

According to The JoongAng, the event will be held in New York, USA, in early July. Last year, the Galaxy Flip 6 and Galaxy Fold 6 were unveiled on 10 July, so this year's date may be even earlier. This event will continue the tradition of Samsung holding presentations of its foldable smartphones in different cities around the world: New York was the place where the Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 were announced, while the Flip 5 and Fold 5 debuted in Seoul and the Flip 6 and Fold 6 in Paris.

The Galaxy Unpacked event could also be the launch of new gadgets: a new version of the Galaxy Watch is expected to be announced, as well as the first Android XR virtual reality headset. At the event, Samsung will also present the Galaxy Z Flip FE and the first device with three screens.

As for the specifications, the Galaxy Flip 7 is likely to have a 4-inch screen on the outside and a 6.85-inch foldable display. The camera will be dual - 50 MP + 12 MP, as well as 12 MP for selfies. The battery will have a capacity of 4300 mAh and support 25W fast charging.

The Galaxy Fold 7 may feature a 6.5-inch screen on the outside and an 8.2-inch folding display, 200MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The battery is 4400 mAh with fast charging support.

Both smartphones will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with a minimum of 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, as well as IP48 protection, stereo speakers, and a USB Type-C port.
