Night vision, hidden GPS and new activities: New Instinct 3 Tactical Edition from Garmin

Garmin has announced the launch of the new Instinct 3 Tactical Edition smartwatch, which is now available worldwide. This watch has a built-in flashlight and a number of exclusive features, such as night vision mode and racing activity.

The new series includes variants: Instinct 3 - 50 mm, AMOLED, Tactical Edition, Instinct 3 - 50 mm, Solar, Tactical Edition and Instinct 3 - 45 mm, Solar, Tactical Edition. All models are black with a black strap with a metal reinforced case and a scratch-resistant screen.

The watches are also equipped with an LED light and health features such as Body Battery and GPS navigation. The battery life is up to 24 days for the AMOLED version and up to 40 days for the solar models with the possibility of continuous operation under certain conditions.

Among the special features of the Tactical Edition are night mode, a new activity for rucking, and a GPS coordinates hiding mode. There is also the ability to save points on the map for later use, Jumpmaster mode and a kill switch system. In addition, the AB Quantum app for smartphones allows users to manage their profile, targets and data for calculating projectile trajectories. Users can pay a one-time fee to gain access to the Applied Ballistics Solver for long-range shooting.

This new watch is available for purchase at $599.99/£499.99/€599.99 for the 50mm Instinct 3 Tactical Edition AMOLED version. Prices for the solar-charged versions range from $429.99 to $549.99 depending on the model.
