Post-apocalyptic motorbike ride now in 4K: Days Gone Remastered with new modes and graphics improvements released
On 25 April, Bend Studio released Days Gone Remastered, an updated version of the post-apocalyptic action game for PlayStation 5. Players received not only improved graphics but also a number of new modes, features and additional content, making this version the best one to get acquainted with the adventures of Deacon St John.
Here's What We Know
Days Gone Remastered takes full advantage of the PS5's power by offering two graphics modes:
- Performance: 1440p at 60 FPS
- Quality: native 4K at 30 FPS
- A third Enhanced option (1584p/60 FPS with PSSR) is also available for PS5 Pro owners, and a special 40 FPS mode will be available in the future.
The game has significantly improved lighting, deeper shadows, a more realistic atmosphere, a new sky simulation and a darker night. All this creates an even more immersive and realistic picture.
New game modes and content
- Horde Assault is a brand new mode that adds over 10 hours of gameplay. Players will have to confront waves of enemies using more than 20 types of weapons and 24 unique modifiers.
- Permadeath Mode - a mode with a complete loss of progress after death, for true hardcore fans.
- Speedrun Mode - the ability to play the game against the clock, compete for records and receive unique rewards.
There are also additional accessibility settings, including game speed control (you can slow down the pace), colour subtitles, high contrast mode, interface voice acting, and hints for collectibles.
Owners of the original Days Gone for PS4 can upgrade to the PS5 remaster for $10. On PC, the update is available as the Broken Road DLC.
