Authors of Hitman and Tomb Raider announced Raiders of Blackveil - a hybrid MOBA and roguelike
Co-founder and former head of the famous Danish studio IO Interactive (author of Hitman and Kane Lynch) and former creative director of Square Enix Janos Flösser announced that back in 2023 he founded a new studio - Wombo Games.
Here's What We Know
Wombo Games is based in Copenhagen and currently employs 21 developers, most of whom have worked on Hitman, Kane Lynch, Just Cause and Tomb Raider.
Wombo Games announced its debut project, but unfortunately without a trailer - they promise to show it later.
The game is called Raiders of Blackveil and will combine MOBA and roguelike. Two teams of three players take part in each match, and the heroes are anthropomorphic animals with unique abilities. According to the plot, they strive to defeat the evil Blackveil Corporation, which oppresses their kin.
The game will offer a lot of variation in the development of the heroes.
In the early version of Raiders of Blackveil, the following content is announced:
- 4 champions, each offering a unique play style
- 1 biome with 15 levels
- 9 enemy types (in several variants)
- 2 mini-bosses
- 2 biome bosses
- 200+ perks for 8 different character classes
- A lot of items and upgrades.
Raiders of Blackveil is scheduled for release on Steam Early Access this summer.
