Resident Evil 7 crosses 15 million copies sold, and Resident Evil Village - 11 million

Capcom has been demonstrating stable and impressive commercial success with the Resident Evil series for many years in a row, and this trend is not changing. The company has shared updated sales data for several parts of the franchise that have reached new milestones.

Here's What We Know

In particular, Resident Evil 7 has grown from 14.4 million copies (as of the end of 2024) to 15 million sold - equalling Resident Evil 2 in terms of sales. Meanwhile, Resident Evil Village sold 11 million copies (up from 10.9 million previously), and the 2020 remake of Resident Evil 3 reached 10 million copies (up from 9.6 million previously).

Capcom also announced that the remake of Resident Evil 4 (2023) exceeded 10 million copies sold. The total sales of the entire Resident Evil series have reached an impressive 167 million copies.
