Samsung is preparing to unveil the Galaxy Fold7 and Galaxy Flip7 in early July, probably in New York.

Here's What We Know

According to TechManiacs, the Galaxy Fold7 may become Samsung's thinnest foldable smartphone. Previously, it was said to be 9.5 mm thick when folded, but now it is reported to be only 8.2 mm. This is even smaller than the Oppo Find N5 (8.9 mm), so we should treat the information with caution for now.

The Fold7 will also have a 200-megapixel main camera, like the Special Edition, but the other modules will not change - 10 MP telephoto and 12 MP ultra-wide. The internal display will increase to 8 inches (instead of 7.6"), and the external display will increase to 6.5" (instead of 6.3").

The Flip7 will have a larger external display - almost rectangular at 4 inches instead of the current 3.4". The battery is also expected to increase to 4300 mAh (compared to 4000 mAh in Flip6), although the charging speed will remain unchanged. The cameras will remain the same as in Flip6: 50+12 MP.

Both models will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy. Special versions may feature Exynos 2400e.

Galaxy Fold7 may rise in price by €100 and start at €2100. The price of the Flip7 has not yet been announced.

Last year, the Galaxy Flip 6 and Galaxy Fold 6 were unveiled on 10 July, so this year's date may be even earlier. This event will be a continuation of Samsung's tradition of presenting its foldable smartphones in different cities around the world: New York was the site of the Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 announcements, while the Flip 5 and Fold 5 debuted in Seoul and the Flip 6 and Fold 6 in Paris.
