The newly released PlayStation 5 version of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is showing the fastest sales growth among all platforms where the game is available. According to analysts at Alinea Analytics, the MachineGames action-adventure game is selling much better on PS5 than on Steam and Xbox, where it was released a few months earlier.

Here's What We Know

According to Alinea estimates, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle sold 117.2 thousand copies on PS5 in the first six days (as of 23 April 2025), which is 28% more than Steam's figure for the same period after release (91.2 thousand copies as of 14 December 2024).

In total, the game has sold about 310 thousand copies on Steam, and the PlayStation 5 version is expected to surpass this result. Analysts also suggest that sales on PlayStation could have been even higher if the game had been released simultaneously with versions for other platforms in December last year.

As for Xbox, Alinea estimates the number of players in The Great Circle at almost 5 million, but the vast majority of them used the Game Pass service rather than buying the game separately. As a reminder, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was released on Xbox and PC in December 2024, receiving positive reviews and attracting more than four million players, according to official Microsoft data.

The first-person single-player game takes players back to 1937, in between the events of Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Players will embark on a journey around the world to stop sinister forces seeking to unlock and harness the ancient power associated with the Great Circle.

Currently, MachineGames is working on a storyline DLC for the game called The Order of the Giants, which is scheduled for release in 2025.
