Apple continues to work on its own smart glasses. According to Mark Gurman in his latest issue of Power On, the new product is codenamed N50 and will integrate some of Apple's artificial intelligence features.

Here's What We Know

Apple is working on augmented reality glasses, but they will not be ready for customers soon. In the meantime, the company plans to release the first version of glasses focused on artificial intelligence capabilities without complex AR features.

Apple's glasses are expected to resemble the popular Meta model in collaboration with Ray-Ban: they will have cameras, microphones, speakers, and an AI assistant, but no built-in displays. The device will collect data about the environment and provide the wearer with useful information without creating the effect of full-fledged virtual reality.

Earlier, Gurman noted that due to privacy issues, Apple may abandon the shooting function, but there is no final decision yet.

In addition to glasses, Apple is also working on a new version of AirPods with cameras to expand the use of its Visual Intelligence technology in new devices.

According to previous reports, both new products may appear on the market around 2027.

Recently, it became known that Apple has transferred the development of robots to a top iPhone manager - the team is headed by John Ternus. Previously, the team reported to the head of AI John Giannandrea, but after the delay in the launch of Apple Intelligence for Siri, the company gradually takes away large projects from him.
