Samsung has unveiled its new projector, The Premiere 5, in South Korea. This ultra-short throw 4K laser projector was unveiled at CES 2025 in Las Vegas and is now available for purchase in the company's home country.

Here's What We Know

The Premiere 5 features a unique touch control feature that makes it ideal for business, education, and home entertainment. Thanks to its infrared camera and laser module, it can track finger movements and interact with the projection as if it were a touchscreen.

This means that users can tap on elements or use a pinch gesture to zoom in and out of an image or web page.

The projector is capable of displaying images up to 100 inches diagonally from a distance of just 43 cm. Thanks to ultra-short throw technology, images can be projected on any flat surface, whether it's a floor, table or wall.

The Premiere 5 automatically adjusts brightness, colour, and contrast to adapt to the environment without the need for manual adjustments.

The gadget runs on the Tizen 9.0 operating system with the One UI interface, which provides access to popular music and video streaming services. Users can also control their smart devices through the SmartThings app.

The Premiere 5 is priced at KRW 1.99 million (~US$1,383). The projector is available for purchase through Samsung's offline and online stores in South Korea.
