A Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet destroyed a Russian FPV drone control and launch point in the southern direction, launching an air strike using French AASM HAMMER precision-guided bombs.

Here's What We Know

The operation was made possible by the reconnaissance of a Ukrainian drone, which detected a building with two antennas for controlling drones mounted on the roof. The published video shows a Russian soldier launching an FPV drone from a yard near the building. Shortly after the target was detected, Ukrainian aviation conducted a precision strike, completely destroying the facility.

According to the Sunflower telegram channel, which is affiliated with the Ukrainian Air Force, the strike was carried out with two AASM HAMMER bombs. This is not the first successful strike by Ukrainian tactical aircraft in this area.

Earlier, Ukrainian aircraft carried out a series of air strikes in the southern direction. In particular, on the outskirts of Peremozhne village in Zaporizhzhia region, a direct precision airstrike destroyed a 2A36 Hyacinth-B trailer mounted 152mm cannon along with a field service fortification.

Another airstrike near the village of Myrne struck an assault group of the 22nd Separate Special Forces Brigade of the Russians. Another strike hit a field ammunition depot in a forest belt near the village of Zherebianky.
