Honor only released the Magic7 Pro in October 2024, and the first rumours about the Magic8 Pro successor are already emerging. According to preliminary information from China, the new product has an improved camera and more powerful hardware.

Here's What We Know

One of the biggest updates is the camera. Magic8 Pro can get a triple rear camera: a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 200MP periscopic telephoto lens. While this configuration is similar to that of the Magic7 Pro, the main sensor is likely to get an upgrade.

It is not yet known whether the hardware will be changed, as the sensor remains the same - 1/1.3" type. However, the Magic8 Pro camera is expected to deliver smoother frame transitions, improved focus speed, optimised dynamic range, and reduced power consumption.

As for the processor, Magic8 Pro is likely to be equipped with the next generation of Qualcomm chipset - Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 or another variant.

That's all the information we have for now, but we can expect more details about the Honor Magic8 Pro to emerge as the official announcement approaches, which is likely to take place in October 2025.

Honor is preparing to launch new Honor 400 series smartphones that have received radio frequency certification in China. This confirms that the gadgets are likely to be presented in May 2025. Two devices of the series with the model numbers DNN-AN00 and DNP-AN00 received approval from the Chinese certification platform CMIIT.
