An insider has revealed some specs of MediaTek's flagship Dimensity 9500 chip

MediaTek is preparing to release its new flagship Dimensity 9500 chipset, which, according to leaks, promises to be quite a powerful solution.

Here's What We Know

According to a leak from Chinese insider Digital Chat Station, this chip will be manufactured using TSMC's new 3nm N3P process and will get an architecture with large processor cores. The configuration includes one Travis core, three Alto cores and four Gelas cores, where Travis and Gelas are new ARM Cortex-X and Cortex-A7xx designs. Travis is rumoured to run at over 4GHz. As for the Alto cores, there is no information about them yet.

The chipset will feature 16MB of L3 cache and 10MB of system cache, support LPDDR5X RAM with up to 10,667 Mbps of bandwidth and UFS 4.1 storage. The Immortalis-Drage GPU will provide improved ray tracing and power efficiency. Artificial intelligence will be the responsibility of NPU 9.0, which will be capable of achieving performance up to 100 TOPS.

The Dimensity 9500 is expected to be unveiled in October or November.
