Samsung has already started actively rolling out the new One UI 7 firmware for many smartphones and tablets and now the company is gearing up to release a new version of One UI 8 software, which will come with new and improved features.

Here's What We Know

One of the key features will be the ability to create a video resume from any website, not just YouTube. This artificial intelligence-based feature analyses speech, visuals and subtitles in a video to provide a summary of the highlights of the video.

This feature is currently available in Youtube and some third-party browsers like Microsoft Edge, but with the release of One UI 8, it will be coming to Samsung's Internet browser and will be able to summarise videos from any website.

The first test builds of One UI 8 are already available on the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Z Fold 6 devices in some regions and it's already been possible to test the new feature there.

The new Android 16-based One UI 8 is expected to arrive in July 2025 on the new foldable Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 smartphones, and will later be available for the flagship Galaxy S25, S24 and other devices.
