Apple has appointed new heads of Apple Music and international policy
Apple is conducting another wave of management reorganisation - this time in the Apple Music and global affairs divisions, Bloomberg reports.
Here's What We Know
Unlike the previous changes related to Siri, the new appointments concern the music business and the company's international policy.
Apple Music will now have two new deputies who will report to the head of the division Oliver Schusser. Rachel Newman, who has been with the company for a long time, and Ole Obermann, a former TikTok music executive, will share the management of the music division. This should ease the burden on Schusser, who has recently also been responsible for Apple TV+, sports initiatives and the Beats brand.
Changes are also taking place in the global government affairs department. Now the teams in Asia and Europe will work on the same level as the US division, which is led by Tim Powderly. In addition, Nick Annmann, a deputy to Lisa Jackson, who reports to Tim Cook, has been given responsibility for government relations in India and China. He will also become Apple's main contact person in interaction with the Donald Trump administration.
Apple has been at the top of Fortune's Most Admired Company list for 18 years in a row, and the internal changes demonstrate the company's commitment to remaining flexible and competitive on a global scale.
As a reminder, Apple has outsourced robot development to an iPhone executive.
