A shovel is worth its weight in gold: Shovel Knight Dig is finally coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Xbox One with a massive update

It seemed that the roguelike prequel to Yacht Club Games' acclaimed retro platformer Shovel Knight, Shovel Knight Dig, would remain off the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Xbox One. But, to the delight of the players, dreams do come true. As early as 15 May this year, players on consoles will be able to dive into endless dungeons.

Here's What We Know

The release on the new platforms will take place simultaneously with the release of a brand new Wicked Wishes update, which will also include all previously released content.

The Wicked Wishes update, which the developers are calling the last major addition to the game, will add new bosses, quests, secrets, and gameplay improvements.

"Meet new friends and enemies, visit strange lands, and equip yourself for your journey to save the entire earth from caving in under your feet," the game's description reads. "Jump, chop, and dig your way down an ever-changing chasm of mystery in Shovel Knight Dig, the all-new Shovel Knight adventure.
