Hyundai has confirmed that the new Ioniq 9 electric SUV will be available in the US with a starting price of $60,555. The model promises up to 335 miles (539.7 km) of range on a single charge in the base version with rear-wheel drive. However, higher trims may have up to 25 miles less range.

Here's What We Know

The Ioniq 9 is powered by a 110.3 kWh battery that can charge from 10 to 80% in just 24 minutes. Ioniq 9 is equipped with a NACS port, which gives access to thousands of Tesla charging stations in North America. It also comes with a CCS adapter that ensures compatibility with other charging stations.

The power of the electric motor depends on the configuration. The base S RWD version develops 215 hp, while the top-of-the-line Performance Limited has 422 hp thanks to two engines. The fastest version accelerates to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds.

The Ioniq 9 has a spacious interior with three rows of seats. The legroom and headroom provide comfort even for taller passengers in the third row. The luggage compartment has a volume of 21.9 cubic feet, which equates to approximately 620 litres.

The cabin has a digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch multimedia screen. Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, wireless charging for smartphones, seven USB ports and a Bose audio system are also available.

Standard safety features include lane keeping assist, driver attention monitoring, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and rear passenger warning.

Prices for the various Ioniq 9 trims range from $60,555 for the base S RWD version to $78,090 for the top Performance Calligraphy Design models.
