New rumours have emerged regarding the Samsung Galaxy S26 series of smartphones. According to reports, the company may once again use its own Exynos processor - this time, the Exynos 2600 model.

Here's What We Know

According to sources, it may be available only in Europe, while all other markets will receive Snapdragon versions.

After the entire Galaxy S25 lineup received the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (dubbed the Snapdragon 8 Elite), many believed that Samsung had abandoned the Exynos. However, now the return of the proprietary chip is likely, albeit in a limited way. The Exynos 2600 may be released only in the European market due to difficulties with production using the 2nm process.

It is not yet clear how the chips will be distributed between the models. It is expected that the Galaxy S26 and S26+ will receive different variants depending on the region, while the flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra will be powered by Snapdragon worldwide. The company has used the same scheme before, in particular with the Galaxy S24 series.

Europeans have repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with the Exynos-only restriction, as was the case with the Galaxy S22, but it seems that Samsung has not taken these complaints into account. If the rumours are confirmed, the company may again receive a wave of criticism from European users.

As a reminder, the Galaxy S25 FE will receive One UI 8, but will again be powered by Exynos 2400e.
