Ghost of Yotei instantly tops PS Store pre-order charts as fans favour Deluxe Edition

On 2 May, pre-orders for Ghost of Yotei were launched, and the game quickly soared to the top of the PlayStation Store charts around the world. The Digital Deluxe Edition is particularly popular, as gamers prefer the more expensive version with additional bonuses, despite the price of $80.

Ghost of Yotei, the spiritual successor to Ghost of Tsushima, will be officially released on PlayStation 5 on 2 October 2025. Pre-orders opened at the end of last week, and in a matter of days, the game became the leader in the number of pre-orders in the US, UK, and many other countries. The biggest excitement is around the Digital Deluxe Edition: this version offers not only the base game but also an exclusive Snake Armour set, a unique colouring, a special horse with a saddle, a sword set, an amulet, and cards for faster character development.

The standard version of Ghost of Yotei costs $70 and includes the base game, a set of seven PSN avatars, and an exclusive in-game mask for the main character.

It is worth noting that regardless of the version chosen, all players who pre-order the game will receive a set of avatars with the main characters and a special mask for the game at the start. However, none of the versions offers early access: all players will start simultaneously on the day of release.

Ghost of Yotei is already claiming the title of one of the major releases of the year for PlayStation 5. Given the huge demand for the Deluxe Edition, we can expect the game to remain at the top of the charts for a long time until its release.
