Zeekr has created a unique minivan for China's first snooker world champion

Electric car manufacturer Zeekr, part of the Geely group, has made an original version of its 009 minivan. The car was made especially for Zhao Xintong, the first Chinese and first Asian winner of the World Snooker Championship. He beat three-time champion Mark Williams of Wales 18-12 in the final on 5 May 2025.

The 28-year-old Xintong's achievement has drawn attention not only for his snooker successes, but also for the unusual car he owns. Images of a customised Zeekr 009 MPV appeared online after his world championship win. The car is decorated in a black and green colour scheme with exclusive graphics: the inscription "147", a snooker table and balls, and a cartoon portrait of Zhao himself.

Zeekr 009 is an all-electric premium minivan. The model is built on the SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform and is powered by two electric motors with a combined output of 534bhp. The top speed is 190 km/h, and the NEDC range reaches 700 kilometres thanks to a 100 kWh battery.

The dimensions of the car are 5209×2024×1856 mm, wheelbase - 3205 mm, curb weight - 2830 kg. The standard configuration has a six-seat saloon, but last year a four-seat Zeekr 009 Grand was launched in China with 777bhp, 702km of range and a starting price of 789,000 yuan (US$109,000).

Zeekr is positioning the 009 as a competitor to the Mercedes-Benz V-Class.
