Microsoft dominates on PlayStation: top 3 most popular games of April on PS5 are Xbox titles
April's PlayStation Store charts brought a real sensation: three of the most popular PS5 games in the US, Canada, and Europe belong to Microsoft. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Minecraft, and Forza Horizon 5 confidently topped the charts, proving that Xbox games feel great even on a competitor's console.
Here's What We Know
In North America, the remaster of the legendary Oblivion took the top spot among PS5 downloads, followed by the perennial hit Minecraft, and Forza Horizon 5 rounds out the top three. In Europe, the situation is similar, but here Forza took the lead, while Oblivion took second place. All three titles are under the wing of Microsoft, which has recently been actively expanding the presence of its games on Sony platforms.
The top ten also includes other Microsoft projects: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 steadily holds the top positions in both regions, and in Europe, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was added to the list. It is also worth noting the breakthrough of the indie hit Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 - fourth place in Europe and sixth in the US and Canada looks very good for a new IP.
On PS4, the situation is more traditional: Red Dead Redemption 2 is in the lead, and Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Roblox remain the undisputed favourites among free-to-play games.
Virtual reality is also not far behind, with Wanderer dominating the PS VR2 in all regions: The Fragments of Fate, while Beat Saber and Creed: Rise to Glory - Championship Edition are firmly in the top three.
We would like to remind you that Oblivion Remastered became the third most successful release of 2025 in the United States - and this is without large-scale advertising.
