The celebration of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe in World of Tanks begins with a grand event that will take place from 6 to 13 May. Players will enjoy an exciting new PvE mode, Operation Postman, a historical online broadcast from the Bovington Tank Museum, exclusive Twitch Drops, lucrative discounts, and much more.

Here's What We Know

In the new PvE mission Operation Postman, players will take on the role of an elite Allied tank commander in the tense last days of the war. The task is to deliver an important message across enemy lines to inform the Allied forces of the end of the war. To do this, you will have to control a specially camouflaged M24 Chaffee tank, whose crew has unique tactical skills such as "Scouting Around" to detect the enemy and "False Order" to disorient patrols.

Players will have to carefully navigate minefields, explore the enemy base, and look for command posts with maps of safe routes. Successful completion of the mission will give the player a unique Chaffee tank that will remain in the collection forever.

On 10 May, a special stream will be held from the Bovington Tank Museum, where the hosts - tank regiment veteran Richard Cutland and the museum's marketing director Nick Vines - along with invited experts will discuss the significance of Victory Day, key stages of the war and the evolution of armoured vehicles. During the broadcast, viewers will be able to get valuable Twitch Drops, including premium equipment and unique styles.

In addition, from 8 to 12 May, players will receive five times the experience for the first victory of the day, as well as up to 50% discounts on premium vehicles, upgrades, consumables and equipment.
