Samsung has unveiled a new tactical tablet developed in cooperation with the US Department of Defence for the needs of the army and intelligence agencies.
Here's What We Know
The gadget is named Galaxy Tab Active5 Tactical Edition and is a ruggedised device that is difficult to detect, hack or physically damage.
Galaxy Tab Active5 is the most powerful gadget in the Tactical Edition lineup. It gets an 8″ screen, an 8-core Samsung Exynos 1380 processor and a 13-megapixel rear camera.
The tablet supports tactical radios, laser rangefinders, external GPS modules and allows you to control drones. The device features a stealth mode that disables Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G, GPS and other communication systems, making it much harder to detect.
Galaxy Tab Active5 Tactical Edition supports Galaxy AI tools and is protected by Samsung's Knox platform. Hypervisor Device Manager (HDM) technology is used to prevent hacking.
