Nightmare Frontier - an unusual tactical game with elements of Extraction-shooter and strategy - has been announced

Independent studio Ice Code Games - the author of tactical game Rogue Waters and Hard West 2 - announced its new project, which unexpectedly combines several genres.

The developers presented the debut trailer of Nightmare Frontier, which combines elements of tactical game, Extraction-shooter and strategy.

The events of Nightmare Frontier will unfold in the early XX century in an alternative version of the USA, in which the "American dream" turned into a nightmare. In the centre of attention will be a group of people who are trying to survive in difficult conditions. They make forays into different regions of the devastated city to find valuable items and return to the shelter.

In their wanderings the heroes will meet dangerous otherworldly entities and will be forced to fight with them. Heroes can use not only firearms and edged weapons, but also supernatural abilities and environmental items.

Battles are done in turn-based mode and provide a lot of tactical freedom.

When We Can Expect It

Nightmare Frontier is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2025 on Steam Early Access.
