iStorage has introduced the ultra-secure diskAshur DT2 and diskAshur DT3 storage solutions with 26TB of storage capacity and hardware encryption
The iStorage company, which specialises in the production of secure data storage, has introduced new desktop hard drives diskAshur DT2 and diskAshur DT3, which will provide maximum information security and record capacity.
Here's What We Know
The diskAshur DT2 and diskAshur DT3 are designed for government agencies, financial and healthcare organisations, and companies dealing with sensitive information - those who require a high degree of data security.
The devices do not connect to the internet or cloud services, minimising the risk of data leakage, but if a user forgets their PIN or loses backup data, access cannot be restored.
Key features of the diskAshur DT2 and diskAshur DT3:
- up to 26TB capacity;
- support AES-XTS 256-bit hardware encryption (FIPS PUB 197 certified);
- access is via PIN code, with entry buttons located on the drive enclosure;
- data can be self-destructed if the PIN is incorrectly entered multiple times;
- devices are compatible with various operating systems.
Certification:
- DT3: pending FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certification, equipped with Common Criteria EAL5+ microprocessor;
- DT2: certified to FIPS 140-2 Level 3, NCSC CPA, NLNCSA BSPA and NATO Restricted.
The drives are already available for purchase on the iStorage website or from distributors.
Cost:
- diskAshur DT3 (26 TB) - $1814;
- diskAshur DT2 (26 TB) - $1541.
