Electronic Arts has officially confirmed that the next Battlefield will be released by the end of March 2026. After the not-so-successful release of Battlefield 2042, the publisher is betting on close cooperation with the community, as it understands that there were problems with this in the past.

Here's What We Know

During the last financial report, EA CEO Andrew Wilson openly admitted that the company did not always listen to the wishes of Battlefield fans, and communication about changes in the game left much to be desired. That's why Battlefield Labs has become the largest testing programme in the franchise's history - thousands of hours of playtime and hundreds of thousands of reviews have helped developers better understand player expectations.

We haven't always worked to help players understand what we're building, but rather to help us understand what they really want on the battlefield

From now on, even more participants from North America, Europe, and soon from Asia are invited to join the testing. The programme is open to all platforms: Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC. Battlefield Labs allows players to be the first to try out new mechanics, maps and classes, as well as influence the balance of the game before the release.

Battlefield 6 is being developed by four studios at once, including DICE, which is responsible for multiplayer, and Criterion, which is responsible for the return of the story campaign. The game has already received a short pre-alpha teaser, which confirms a return to the modern setting of Battlefield 3 and 4, as well as the classic class system and familiar maps.
