Rockstar has revealed the biographies of the two main characters of GTA VI: who will we play as and what did the protagonists go through?

The second trailer of Grand Theft Auto 6 appeared unexpectedly, and with it - a lot of new details about the main characters, setting and plot of the upcoming blockbuster. The official website of the studio can hardly withstand the influx of people who want to learn more about Lucia Caminos and Jason Duvall, who will become the central figures of the new crime drama in the GTA world.

Here's What We Know

In the new trailer, Rockstar focuses on the stories of two protagonists. Lucia Caminos is a girl who learnt to fight from childhood thanks to her father, and life constantly challenged her. Protecting her family, she was imprisoned by Leonida, but miraculously got a second chance. Now, Lucia is determined to act smartly and strives to provide herself and her mother with the better future they dreamed of back in Liberty City.

Her partner in crime is Jason Duvall. He grew up among crooks and criminals, and after serving in the army, he tried to put his past behind him, but eventually started working for local drug dealers. Meeting Lucia can be both the best and the worst turn in his life: together they embark on a dangerous journey where every step is a risk and a struggle for freedom.

GTA 6 is set in the familiar but significantly expanded Vice City and the state of Leonidas. The trailer impresses with the detail of the world, demonstrates scenes of prison breaks, chases, romantic moments, and introduces new locations. GTA 6 comes out on 26 May 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, and fans will find a lot more news, analyses, and theories.
