GTA 6 will have a large-scale map with six regions - Rockstar opens the curtain on the world of Vice City
Rockstar Games has presented the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, and along with it revealed details about the game's large-scale open world. Events will unfold in the familiar but significantly expanded Vice City and five other regions of the state of Leonidas, each with its own unique atmosphere and dangers.
Here's What We Know
The second trailer begins with a scene where Jason Duvall is waiting outside the prison to pick up Lucia Caminos. This moment sets the tone for the plot - the two protagonists find themselves at the centre of a large criminal conspiracy that encompasses the entire state of Leonidas. Jason is a man trying to get out of the shadow of the past, and Lucia is a woman fighting for a better life for herself and her family.
Rockstar shared details about the six main locations that players will be able to explore:
- Vice City is a bright, sunny city with beaches, clubs, and criminal streets.
- Leonida Keys - picturesque tropical islands with dangerous waters, where alligators and other surprises are hidden.
- Grassrivers - swampy areas with mangroves that hide both wild animals and secrets.
- Port Gellhorn is an abandoned port city with empty shopping centres and a dubious reputation.
- Ambrosia is a town where a sugar mill provides jobs and a local biker gang controls the rest.
- Mount Kalaga is a national park in the north of the state, an ideal place for hunting, fishing and hidden conspiracies.
Mount Kalaga attracts special attention as a mysterious place where paranoid and mystical people live, far from the eyes of the authorities. This region can become a centre of conspiracies and secrets.
GTA 6 is coming out on 26 May 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, and fans can expect a lot more news, analyses and theories.
As a reminder, the second trailer of GTA 6 sets new records: more than 45 million views in 12 hours and a frenzy on the Internet.
