Thanks to HIMARS: Ukrainian military destroy North Korean KN-09 MLRS
The Ukrainian military struck a North Korean KN-09 missile launcher located in the Kursk region. The drone of the 4th Regiment of the Special Operations Forces "Ranger" helped to detect the target and adjust the fire.
Here's What We Know
The US HIMARS missile system was used to destroy the installation. Only one GMLRS projectile was enough to destroy the target. The M30A1 version of the munition, equipped with tungsten balls, hit a few metres from the installation, causing it to ignite due to powerful debris.
According to Skripka's OSINT analyst, the destruction took place near the village of Pervomaisky in Kursk Oblast.
The KN-09 is a North Korean 300mm multiple launch rocket system with a range of up to 200 kilometres. It consists of two launchers with four missiles each. In recent parades, the DPRK has demonstrated a similar version of the system with 12 guides.
