The entire Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy could be coming to Nintendo Switch 2
In early April, Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake would be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, thus ceasing to be a PlayStation console exclusive. However, a video on Nintendo's channel hints that the entire (as yet unfinished) Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy will be released on the new console.
Here's What We Know
Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth game director Naoki Hamaguchi has been the main character in a new episode of the Creator's Voice series, in which he made it clear that it's not just the first of the three-part remake that will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. He asked future users of the new console to "look forward to the future of the series" and stay tuned.
It's worth noting that the final instalment of the trilogy won't be released until 2027, plus there's no official information about Rebirth being ported to Switch, but it would be strange on the publisher's part to limit it to just one game.
By the way, insiders have repeatedly reported that the said games will also be released on Xbox in the foreseeable future.
Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026 in an expanded version of Intergrade.
