Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 not only won the hearts of gamers, but also became a musical discovery of the year: the game's soundtrack topped two prestigious Billboard charts at once - Classical Albums and Classical Crossover Albums. The game's tunes have already garnered more than 18 million plays, and the game itself has sold more than 2 million copies in two weeks.

Here's What We Know

The developers from Sandfall Interactive can be proud of their debut: their first game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 not only received favourable reviews for its gameplay and story, but also became a real hit among music lovers. The soundtrack, composed by composer Lorian Testar, consists of 154 songs and has already become a separate phenomenon in the world of game music. The epic song Lumière has gained particular popularity, with almost 1.9 million views on YouTube and the same number of streams on Spotify.

Billboard recognised the album in two categories at once, and it also reached the top 15 on the official soundtrack chart and the top 31 on the album downloads chart. It is also impressive that Testar was a little-known author who was discovered by Sandfall Interactive on SoundCloud, giving him a chance to prove himself on the big stage.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was released on 24 April 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and was immediately included in Game Pass. In 12 days, the project sold over 2 million copies, and the peak online presence on Steam exceeded 145 thousand players.
