After the release of the second trailer for GTA 6, the wave of excitement hasn't stopped - and not just among fans. Former Rockstar animator Mike York, who worked on GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, is convinced that the level of graphics and attention to detail in the new game is so amazing that any price will be justified.

Here's What We Know

In his video analysis, Mike York drew attention to a significant leap in the quality of lighting between the first and second GTA 6 trailers. According to him, Rockstar probably found a new approach to rendering light and reflections, which literally turned the development process upside down and could be one of the reasons for the postponement of the release to May 2026. "Sometimes when you're working on a game, you find a solution that changes everything. That seems to have happened here with the lighting," York explains.

The former developer emphasises that no other game can boast of such realism, detail and a well-developed world as GTA 6. "If Mario Kart sells for $90, then GTA 6, with its scale and technology, is definitely worth any price," Yorke believes. He urges gamers not to complain about the possible high price of the game, as Rockstar is investing record resources and time in the project.

The trailer, which was recorded entirely on a basic PS5, has already impressed even sceptics: the network is actively discussing not only the cinematic image but also hints at the gameplay, new animations, and character physics that were previously unattainable for the series. Analysts predict that the price tag for GTA 6 may reach $80 or even $100, but most experts agree that this is quite justified for this level of quality.
