While fans are preparing for the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Hideo Kojima shared some interesting details about the future of the franchise. The legendary developer already has a concept for the third part, but he is not going to develop it personally.

Here's What We Know

Death Stranding, the first game by Kojima Productions after Kojima left Konami, has become a real phenomenon in the world of gaming. Next month, the sequel, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, set in Mexico and Australia, will be released on PS5. The developer explained the choice of Australia as a new location by the desire to create a large-scale world similar in size to the United States, but with unique geographical features.

Death Stranding 2 has a new story element - Plate Gate, a portal that allows the protagonist Sam Bridges to travel between continents. This idea opens the door to an unlimited number of sequels. "If you use the Plate Gate concept, you can create an infinite number of sequels," admitted Kojima. However, he stressed that he does not plan to make Death Stranding 3 on his own, but is ready to pass the idea to other developers.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be released on 26 June 2025 exclusively on PlayStation 5. The game is already close to completion.

There are also exciting previews of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach: new mechanics, amazing graphics, and even more freedom.
