Bungie announces a stream on 9 May, where it will reveal plans for the upcoming Marathon shooter extraction
Bungie, the studio known for its hits Destiny and Halo, is preparing to share news about its ambitious shooter Marathon relaunch with cds;bvb. An official stream will take place on 9 May, where the developers will talk about future plans for the game's development.
Here's What We Know
Marathon is a reimagining of the cult shooter of the 90s, which has now turned into a PvPvE extra shooter. Players in the role of "runners" land on the abandoned planet Tau Kita IV, where they will have to collect valuable loot, fight other teams and survive in an aggressive sci-fi world. A loss in battle means the loss of all the loot, which adds tension and adrenaline to the game.
Previously, Bungie has already shown the gameplay of Marathon and conducted closed alpha testing, which caused heated discussions, as some people began to hate the game, which did not play into the hands of the project in the information field (although of course there are those who enjoy the game).
More details about upcoming updates and post-release support plans are expectedat the stream on 9 May.
Marathon is scheduled for release on 23 September 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game will feature crossplay and cross-play.
