OpenAI has announced the launch of beta testing of ChatGPT's integration with GitHub, which will allow developers to interact directly with code repositories via ChatGPT Deep Research.

Here's What We Know

Currently, users of ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Team plans have access to the test, and it is planned to expand access for Enterprise and Edu users later.

The integration allows programmers to provide ChatGPT with access to selected codes and ask questions about their content. Artificial intelligence answers these questions by providing quotes from relevant reports and documents. This greatly facilitates the process of finding errors in the code or explaining complex aspects of the software.

Given that GitHub is owned by Microsoft, which is actively investing in OpenAI, this integration is a logical step to improve developer efficiency. With the launch of the beta test of this ChatGPT feature, we can expect new opportunities for accelerated code creation and verification.

Until now, ChatGPT Deep Research has been available only for Pro plan users. However, in February 2025, OpenAI extended access to this tool to all paid ChatGPT subscribers. Now, the new integration will further improve the work of developers, making the use of artificial intelligence even more accessible and convenient.

We would like to remind you that OpenAI has updated ChatGPT to allow the chatbot to suggest what to buy online. ChatGPT can now offer several products at the user's request, show prices, customer reviews, images, and purchase links.
