Mafia: The Old Country will encourage players to play a more tactical, life-or-death game
In the new gameplay trailer for Mafia: The Old Country, the developers demonstrate dynamic horse and car chases, as well as intense shootouts. At the same time, the team emphasises a more serious tone - battles should feel like a real matter of life and death, requiring a tactical approach from the player
Here's What We Know
In the Developer Insights video, Associate Game Director Joshua Zammit explained that the protagonist Enzo is still proving his strength, so resources are limited, and this makes it necessary to act wisely. According to him, players should carefully plan their battles because survival is not guaranteed.
The knife plays a special role in the combat system - it allows you to silently eliminate enemies and engage in deadly duels. Zammit emphasised that the knife is an element of Sicilian culture, and its use should enhance the atmosphere of immersion and tension.

The Old Country will be released on 8 August on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
