Return to the pixelated world of Deltarune: Paid Chapters 3-4 will be released simultaneously with the release of Nintendo Switch 2 on 5 June 2025
Toby Fox, the developer of the cult game Undertale, has officially confirmed that paid chapters 3 and 4 of Deltarune will be released on 5 June 2025 simultaneously on Nintendo Switch 2, Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC and Mac. Players will be able to access both console versions for one price.
Here's What We Know
The first two chapters of Deltarune are already available for free on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam and itch.io. The new edition, which will be released in the summer, will combine the first four chapters in one package for $25. It will include free updates with chapters 5, 6, and 7, which Toby Fox plans to release later.
The release will feature cross-buy support between console generations. This means that by purchasing the Switch version, players will be able to get the game on Switch 2 at no extra cost, and PS4 owners will automatically get access to the PS5 version. However, this requires the same Nintendo or PlayStation account. The exception is Japan, where local legislation requires a small fee for the update.
The official release date coincides with the launch of Nintendo Switch 2, and the game will be one of its launch titles.
Toby Fox shared on social media that he is very excited to finally show fans what he has been working on for the past six years. He also noted that the exact release time depends on localisation and adaptation for different platforms.
