Ukrainian surface drone Seawolf presented in Greece
Ukrainian company Nordex presented the Seawolf multi-purpose maritime surface drone at DEFEA 2025 in Athens.
Here's What We Know
According to Nordex representatives, Seawolf combines solutions based on the Ukrainian experience of modern warfare at sea, which ensures high efficiency and reliability. The basic version of the drone is 7.5 metres long, 2.2 metres wide and 0.52 metres high.
It is equipped with a 270 horsepower diesel engine and can carry 1400 litres of fuel, which provides a range of over 1600 kilometres. The total payload is up to 1650 kilograms, and the combat load is up to 450 kg.
The Seawolf design is built around a basic platform, where the main components - hull, engine, propulsion, communications, optics and control systems - remain unchanged. The upper deck, on the other hand, is designed to accommodate a variety of weapons and equipment depending on the mission. The modular approach of the platform reduces the time to adapt to new configurations and reduces maintenance costs.

This surface platform is used to create drones for various missions: the Seawolf R air defence boat, the Seawolf MG cover boat, the Seawolf MGR cover boat with integrated radar, the Seawolf EW electronic warfare boat, the Seawolf M minesweeper and the Seawolf D airborne drone carrier.
In addition, the company presented the concept of a larger version called the Seawolf Extended Platform. The boat will have a 9.5-metre hull, a payload of 4,000 kilograms and an operating range of 1,500 kilometres.
It will be equipped with four AIM-9 air defence missiles, a turret with a 12.7 mm M2 machine gun or a launcher for FPV drones or a guided munitions launch system. The developers emphasise that this version of the surface drone will be effective for border protection, surveillance and combined tactical missions.
